Join ZEN Energy President and one of Australia’s most eminent economists, Professor Ross Garnaut AC, for a public lecture at Murdoch University on Friday 3 November 2017.
ZEN Energy is proud to promote Murdoch University’s public lecture this coming Friday 3 November, focusing on Professor Ross Garnaut’s first impressions of the National Energy Guarantee (NEG).
The Australian economy was well placed in the fossil fuel economy of the past. Its natural renewable energy resources give it the potential to be as well, or better placed, in the emerging low carbon world economy.
Western Australia is well endowed with solar, wind, tidal and other renewable energy resources as well as opportunities for balancing the intermittency of renewable energy. Success in utilising opportunity depends on wise and stable policy.
This lecture will discuss the opportunity, wisdom and stability in light of the Finkel Report and the Commonwealth Government’s response to it, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions following the lecture.
Professor Garnaut has had a distinguished career built around the analysis and practice of policy connected to development, economic policy and international relations in Australia, Asia and the Pacific.
Tickets for this event are free, but please RSVP by Thursday 2 November to secure your seat. Free parking will be available for this event, at Car Parks 7 and 8.
Time: 11am – 12:25pm
Location: ECL 1 Lecture Theatre, Murdoch University, 90 South Street Murdoch, WA 6150 (view map)
