ZEN Energy announced today the successful de-merger of SIMEC ZEN Energy into SIMEC Energy Australia and ZEN Energy. ZEN Energy retains the energy hardware solutions and retail energy businesses from the previous entity.
“This new structure will allow ZEN Energy to accelerate progress on its strategy to increase competition in the energy market and lower costs through use of renewable energy. We now have the structure in place to deliver integrated energy solutions, combining onsite, sustainable, energy hardware with renewables-backed energy supply contracts. Australia has the natural conditions to be a renewable energy superpower. It is up to us to use those advantages for our own prosperity and the world’s containment of climate change. We are committed to increasing competition in Australia’s energy market, offering our customers comprehensive sustainable energy solutions, and enhancing energy security. We will continue to work with the world’s best providers of technology in this space.” said Professor Ross Garnaut, Director of ZEN Energy.
ZEN Energy, initially formed in 2004 and merged with SIMEC in 2017, will now be led by highly regarded business leaders Ross Garnaut AC and Raymond Spencer as Directors, and Geoff Titus as CEO.
“Under the leadership of Sanjeev Gupta over the last two and a half years, the team at ZEN Energy has continued to develop the strength of this business. We look forward to continuing to contribute to lowering the cost and improving the security and stability of South Australia’s power supply. We will work hard to enable South Australian organisations to take advantage of their exceptional opportunities in this emerging new energy economy,”said Professor Ross Garnaut, Director of ZEN Energy.
ZEN Energy’s customers include the South Australian Government, the SACOME Buyers Group. Electrolux, Bickfords Group, Life Care, University of Adelaide and many others.
We look forward to partnering with new utility-scale renewable energy projects across the country to enable us to supply 100% renewable energy at low cost and high reliability to our growing customer base.
