GOVERNMENT INCENTIVES

EVERYONE

Small-scale certificates (STCs)

Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme. Eligible small-scale renewable energy systems are entitled to a number of small-scale technology certificates. One small-scale renewable certificate equals one MWh of eligible renewable electricity either generated or displaced
by the system.

Through this, the Australian government will provide a rebate on the purchase of your solar energy system. The level of this benefit differs across the country depending on the level of solar energy.

Typically, you will save $2,800 to $3,600 off the cost of a 6.6kW solar energy system.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Home Battery Scheme *

Be one of the brightest. In addition to the federal government solar rebate, you can also receive a rebate on the purchase of a battery through the South Australian government’s Home Battery Scheme.

– Receive $150 for every kWh of battery storage capacity you install up to a maximum of $2,000.
– If you are an Energy Concession holder, you can receive up to a $250 rebate per kWh of storage.

If you already have solar or are thinking about making the switch, adding a battery system could help you get the most out of your solar system.

* Please note that the South Australian Government has announced on Thursday 2 June 2022 that the Home Battery Scheme is winding down and will close to new subsidy applications once the scheme has been exhausted or at 5pm Thursday 1 September 2022, whichever comes first.

  1. The campaign will only be open to residential homes in South Australia and New South Wales within our installation area.
  2. ZEN Energy will donate $300 to ACF per residential solar and battery only installation and $500 per residential solar and battery combined installation.
    It does not include new signups relating to ZEN Energy’s existing commercial relationships or new commercial solar installation sign ups.
  3. Donations will only be allocated to new solar and battery purchases throughout the campaign period from 1 April to 30 June 2022.
  4. Other charities are not included in this campaign. All the donations for this campaign will only be given to ACF.
