About the Role

Reporting to ZEN’s Customer Relations Manager, you will be the first point of contact for ZEN Energy’s Retail Electricity Customers’ day-to-day enquiries. Working right at the forefront of our business, the Customer Engagement Officer is responsible for providing a fantastic customer experience to our valued clients with a friendly, process driven, and solution focused attitude.

What we will ask of you

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & CULTURE

• Professional handling of all phone, email & portal enquiries

• Identify and explore our customer needs through engaging with the regularly and forming strong relationships

• Make professional recommendations to all clients that are solution/data based

• Respond to all customer enquiries within a reasonable timeframe

• Actively engage on improving our team’s level of communication, productivity, and service

• Provide weekly updates on opportunities to improve the customer experience via customer satisfaction feedback

CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE

• Mange payment enquiries, including allocation, reconciliation, and reporting

• Follow-up with customers, as required, on payments

• Manage roll-In/ Out Requests

• Billing Enquiries and updating of customer account details

• Deliver updates and reports to customers

• Understand general contract terms for respective customers

• Accurately capture and record of customer data in ZEN systems

IMPROVING OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Identify improvement opportunities that will deliver a tangible, positive customer impact, and improve ZEN’s operational efficiencies through streamlining processes

• Help to create a culture that focuses on positive customer outcomes and performance in everything we do!

STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS

• Maintain peer and existing stakeholder relationships

• Demonstrate good communication, cooperation and coordination and active participation with the wider customer relations team and broader ZEN business, including finance, operations, billing and settlements departments.

Education and Qualifications

• Recently completed an undergraduate degree in a related discipline

Skills and Experience

• Ability to engage effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders

• Passion and initiative, an eye-for-detail, and be outcome driven

• Strong attention to detail and very organised

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to engage relevant internal and external stakeholders

• Experience negotiating appropriate resolutions to escalated customer enquiries

• Office admin experience or demonstratable skill set

• Working knowledge, understanding and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Microsoft Excel

• Ability to calculate solutions based on customer needs

JOB TITLE Energy Analyst

LOCATION Melbourne, VIC

REPORT TO Senior Energy Analyst

Key Accountabilities

We are looking for an Energy Analyst to join our team at Zen Energy. This person will have a vital role shaping both the Zen Energy portfolio as well as the energy transition in Australia.

You will be a forward-thinking person who is inquisitive in nature and is comfortable working in the detail and pivoting to a markets and portfolio view. Being part of a team to create an energy markets strategy and developing our suite of analytical products and forecasts. You will be someone who is passionate and is willing to learn all about the current and future state of the Australian energy market.

Just as important as what you achieve in this role, is how you perform the role. We will need you to be an engaged team member, who can cross pollenate your energy market knowledge and capabilities into an investment and development world with both internal and external stakeholders. Be ready for a dynamic work environment, with a start-up mindset. You will be encouraged and supported to be bold in your thinking, whilst being a helpful colleague to those around you.

Core Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and operate analytical models to support decision-making.
• Model development and data analytics through core platforms i.e. Python, SQL, and Power BI and Excel.
• Ensure earnings processes operate accurately and on schedule, regularly identifying and resolving any issues to maintain consistency across reporting and forecasting
• Analyse market dynamics and compare actual outcomes against forecasts, identifying variances and clearly explaining the commercial drivers behind any gaps.
• Work with other members of the energy markets team to deliver the analytical roadmap building a strong and robust data and modelling eco-system that will facilitate and enhance insights and modelling capabilities.
• Play an integral role in the development of the future energy market and produce meaningful analysis supports investment decisions and the creation of a future renewable portfolio.

Education and Qualifications

•Eligibility to work in Australia.

• A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar analytical or energy markets position is required.

Skills and Experience

• Strong background in data analytics or data science

• Candidates must demonstrate an ability to consider complex market challenges in a broader commercial and investment context and develop analytical solutions.

• An understanding or experience in the energy industry would also be an advantage.

• Ability to present to and capture the imagination of people by providing analytical insights into the energy market.

Interpersonal Capabilities
